3 MONTHS AND COUNTING...

Hello all,
Hope everyone is well! We are having a relaxing weekend at home (unusual these days :) We've been house shopping over the last couple of months and have found one we really like. We'll see what happens over the next couple of weeks. We both realize that with new little peanuts coming into our world we will need to start to make room. Not to mention our CRITTERS (the dogs, horse, bird, raccoons, squirrels and more recently a stray kitty I found ;-) I'm happy to say (for my allergies sake) that we did not keep the kitty. I took her to our Vet, got her fixed up and they are going to find her a home. I think Brandon would have literally FALLEN OVER if I came home with another animal that I had found. He called while I happened to be on my way to the Vet and asked where I was. Of course, I would rather have told him anything other than; "I've found a very sick kitty that needs Medical attention." The funny thing is...I expected to get a HUGE SIGH on the other end and instead he said, "Oh, what's wrong with it and what are you going to do"? Of course, I told him what I was up to and that was pretty much that. I was so pleased to know the kitty was going to be ok after treatment and that THEY WOULD FIND HER A HOME. I'm VERY allergic to cats not to mention our labs, who are hunters would have thought I brought them home a toy :) All worked out very well!!

This weeks update will be pretty brief...Over the last 2-3 weeks the Russia program has picked back up and 4 referrals (1 this week and 3 the couple weeks prior) have been made to families (2 boys and 2 girls). We are encouraged by the activity and praying that we'll get to meet Hadley SOON! Late this week I contacted our coordinator to get a pulse on where we are in the process b/c I was feeling more impatient than ever for some reason. Her response was overall positive and she told me that we were now 7/8 on the list. Our daughter has not been identified in Russia at this time but she said that they are working on it :) We were encouraged and will keep you posted on what the upcoming weeks hold. In the meantime, please keep praying for Hadley and orphaned children everywhere around the world.

Our hugs and love to all,
Robin & Brandon

  2. And the wait continues...
I hope all is going well with your house decisions. Didn't mean to give too much advice about how hard I found it. Everyone adjusts to it one way or another.

Also, I just started to "tag" you as well (then noticed Amy already did). I am still going to count you as a tag, and I'll just look forward to reading your 6 random things.
